In support of International Women’s Day, The Portrait Series returns - an annual opportunity to share the stories of women who inspire us. For its fourth instalment, we place the JOSEPH community front and centre, creating a visual narrative that highlights the spirit of sisterhood and the beauty of friendship.

Clare & Amy
As I have gotten older and had my own children, I have grown so much closer to my mum. Raising each other up is so important, my Mum is the epitome of strength to me.

Yasmin & Naznin
Yas is my big sister, we are a year apart but feel like twins sometimes. We think alike and we have shared tastes and values.

Geetanjali & Eva
Eva inspires me and reminds me everyday why it's so important to support women. I want her to grow up knowing strong women and knowing she is strong too.
Female connections - whether through friendship, family, or mentorship - are a vital force. To mark International Women’s Day’s theme for 2025, #AccelerateAction, we recognise that real change comes when we act together. United, we elevate, we support, we drive progress - towards equality, and a future that belongs to all women.

Magdalene & Catherine
My mother carries herself with grace and always leads by example - she finds joy and laughter in every experience.

Bo-Eun & Saba
Saba is my mentor, my inspiration, my biggest supporter and bestie. There is so much mutual love and respect, supporting and celebrating each other.

Gosia
In a moment of spontaneity, I made an impulse decision to capture myself as the woman I am, a mother, a daughter and a wife.
To celebrate the power of female friendship, women from our community, each accompanied by a loved one, enjoyed a unique experience in front of the camera, helmed by renowned fashion photographer Cathy Kasterine. Dressed in timeless pieces from the JOSEPH Foundations collection and published in black and white, these images offer an unfiltered portrayal of each woman and the power found in togetherness – capturing their unspoken history and shared bond.

Helene & Sophie
My daugther Sophie brings me joy and fulfillment, she is always making me laugh and I am honoured to be able to support her through life's challenges.

Ume, Raisa & Habiba
My sisters are my ultimate support system - they are my best friends, confidantes and inspirations. I can't imagine life without them.

Gail & Justine
My wife is my life partner in every way. After 30 years together, we continue to challenge each out and embrace new adventures and experiences.

Michelle
I wanted to show up to celebrate this amazing day for my daughter and friends. I supported myself to show them, that even when not seen, our relationships can be encouraging because of the connections we share.

Mitwa & Catherine
Thelma to my Louise, my friend Catherine has been there through thick and thin, she gets it, without me having to say a word!

Lara & Annette
Family is the most important longest-lasting relationship. My daughter Lara continues to surprise me - raising a family and being so very organised - which is not easy!

Farrah & Nazma
We met when we were working and living away from home - the bond was instant - our friendship has seen us through all the ups and downs that life brings.

Miray & Linda
Sharing a creative spark making theatre together, we champion each other on stage and off, with endless laughs. Miray is an absolute ray of sunshine!
Every year, this initiative also serves a greater purpose: driving vital recognition and donations for charities that tirelessly support women in need. JOSEPH is proud to continue its commitment to its partner charities, Smart Works and I Choose Freedom - two organisations dedicated to providing sanctuary, services, and opportunities to women striving for equality in the home and workplace. The team involved in this project have kindly donated time and fees to support the cause, and now, we invite our community to join us in doing the same.
For the month of March, you can make a charitable donation to both Smart Works and I Choose Freedom via the donate link below. Every contribution, no matter how small, has the power to change a woman’s life.
